Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
By Mary Roach
W. W. Norton & Company 2003
For
the second marking period, I have decided to read Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. Recommended to me by one of my friends, Stiff seems like a scientific read, but
certainly a very different field of science than what I usually read
about. Roach is also known for her humor
and I have never been good at identifying humor when it is present or its
purpose in rhetoric, so I hope reading Stiff
will help improve my close reading skills for humor.
